Slight decrease in COVID-19 cases in Cuba, 510 today

HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 5 (ACN) Cuba studied a total of 7,641 samples for surveillance during the day, 510 of which were positive. The country accumulates 13,498,857 samples taken and 1,093,676 positive.
At the end of April 4, a total of 7,084 patients were admitted, 3,925 suspected, 27 under surveillance and 3,132 confirmed active.
Of the total number of cases, 499 were contacts of confirmed cases; 4 with source of infection abroad and 7 with no source of infection specified. There were 860 discharges, accumulating 1,081,969 patients recovered (98.9%) and there was one death. Twenty-nine confirmed patients are being treated in ICUs, of whom 11 are critical and 18 are serious.
Among the 510 positive cases, 8.8% (45) were asymptomatic, totaling 146,261, which represent 13.3% of those confirmed to date. The diagnosed cases belong to the following age groups: under 20 years of age (142), 20 to 39 (118), 40 to 59 (123), and 60 and over (127).
