Ramiro Valdés checks operation at Felton thermoelectric plant

Havana, Dec 22 (RHC) On Thursday, the Commander of the Revolution, Ramiro Valdés Menéndez, Cuba's deputy prime minister checked the progress of repair work on the second-generation unit of the 'Lidio Ramón Pérez' thermoelectric power plant in Felton, in the eastern province of Holguín.

Accompanied by leaders of the Communist Party of Cuba, the Government of the province, and the municipality of Mayarí, the also Hero of Labor of the Republic received information on the progress of the recovery strategy of that facility, damaged by a fire after a previous process of repairs.

Valdés Menéndez also verified the behavior of generation in Unit No. 1 of the power plant, which operates with stability at more than 240 megawatt-hours, close to its design capacity.
