President of ICAP is grateful for the support of the Cuba-Türkiye Friendship Association in the fight against the blockade

Fernando González Llort, hero of the Republic of Cuba, deputy to the National Assembly of People's Power and president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), participated in the final session of the International Tribunal against the US blockade, which took place at the headquarters of the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium.

A team from the Turkish newspaper El Sol conducted a brief interview with him in which Fernándo González expressed: "My expectation is that the result of the discussion, the analysis of the evidence and the testimonies will become a legal political decision well defended by respected jurists. Although it is not legally binding, this decision and document will serve us as a working tool due to the legal reputation of the signatories and the quality of the testimony and evidence".

Recalling that the blockade has always been an important agenda of Cuba solidarity organizations, González Llort also thanked the Cuban Association of José Martí Friendship, a Cuba solidarity organization in Turkey: "In Türkiye I feel that there is a generalized love for Cuba. I felt that way while I was there. Of course, I would also like to express my greetings and thanks to the Cuba solidarity groups, which are very active, and also to the Communist Party of Türkiye, which has always been a great support to our country".
