Elon Musk: "Europe Will Go Extinct"

South African-born magnate Elon Musk issued a dire warning to Europe on Saturday in a comment responding to a post on the social network X.

"Unless the birth rate returns to at least the replacement rate, Europe will go extinct," Musk commented on a user's message about the "demographic collapse" in Scotland. The user's post pointed out that between January and July of this year, there were 34% more deaths than births.

This is not the first time the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX has spoken on this issue. Last March, he admitted being concerned that the birth rate "is very low in almost all countries" and warned that unless this changes, "civilization will disappear."

The entrepreneur has stated on several occasions that the demographic crisis is humanity's greatest current problem. According to some media reports, Musk has at least 11 children. In 2022, he indicated he was "doing his best to help overcome the underpopulation crisis."
