Kenya’s Vice President trip to Cuba after visiting Colombia

The vice president of Kenya, Rigathi Gachagua, ended an official visit to Colombia which gave impetus to bilateral relations, and will continue his trip to Cuba to participate in the G77 Plus China Summit.
 
During their stay in Colombia, the parties signed the first Joint Cooperation Commission, which opens a new path to deepen collaboration in various sectors, including agriculture, gender, education, science and technology, culture, transportation, health, environmental conservation, trade and investment, among others issues, according to the Kenyan vice president.

Gachagua stated that they also held conversations about ways to improve ties through direct flights between the two countries to increase interaction and improve the movement of goods and services. The removing of visa requirements for diplomatic and service passport holders was also part of the dialogues.

The dignitary reaffirmed his Government’s commitment to working closely with Colombian counterparts to guarantee the full implementation of the agreements.

After concluding his visit, Rigathi Gachagua will travel to Cuba on behalf of the President of Kenya, William Ruto, to participate in the G77 Plus China Summit.
