In a post on X, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel described his second visit to the Republic of Belarus and his reunion with his counterpart Aleksandr Lukashenko as very pleasant events.
Díaz-Canel, who referred to Mr. Lukashenko as a loyal friend of Cuba, remarked that they agreed to strengthen cooperation between both countries.
As part of his official visit to Belarus, the Cuban leader visited a biopharmaceutical company and paid tribute to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, 80 years after the victory over fascism.
His program also includes a participation in the 4th Eurasian Economic Forum in the context of the Intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), an organization for regional economic integration established on January 1, 2015 and made up of Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Belarus.
