Cuba Honors Commitment to UN Charter

Cuban permanent representative at the United Nations Ernesto Soberon reiterated his country’s commitment to the founding principles of the world organization.

In his remarks at the session marking the 80th anniversary of the signing of the UN Charter, the Cuban diplomat condemned the Israeli genocide against the Palestinian people and the most recent and unjustifiable US and Israeli attacks against Iran.

The two actions are a new and dangerous escalation of the Middle East conflict and constitute a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and International Law, the Cuban diplomat stressed.

The Cuban diplomat also demanded the immediate end of all unilateral and coercive measures imposed on nations, and urged developed countries to meet their compromises in the areas of development and climate change.
