Israel Furious After Activist Greta Thunberg Poses With ‘Stand With Gaza’ Poster

Israel’s official X account has gone after activist Greta Thunbreg for a pro-Palestinian post.
Thunberg posted a photo October 20 with three others holding signs. Hers read “Stand with Gaza."
She wrote, “Week 270. Today we strike in solidarity with Palestine and Gaza. The world needs to speak up and call for an immediate ceasefire, justice and freedom for Palestinians and all civilians affected.”
In response, Israel tweeted at her, “Hamas doesn’t use sustainable materials for their rockets which have BUTCHERED innocent Israelis. The victims of the Hamas massacre could have been your friends. Speak up.”
Thunberg later posted again saying, “It goes without saying - or so I thought - that I’m against the horrific attacks by hamas.”

She already had deleted the first version of the photo because it also showed a small blue octopus over her shoulder.
Thunberg said she deleted the photo not knowing the stuffed toy could be viewed as an anti-semitic symbol.
She explained that the “toy in the picture is a tool often used by autistic people as a way to communicate feelings.”
More than 1,400 Israelis were killed when Hamas terrorists went into Israel on Oct. 7. Along with the dead, more than 200 people were kidnapped and brought back to Gaza.
