Tehran, Feb 18 (Prensa Latina) Iran on Thursday demanded equality in the global distribution of anti-Covid-19 vaccines, support for developing nations, and the elimination of unilateral punitive measures.
Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Majid Takht Ravanchi assured that a successful fight against the pandemic requires assistance for the poorest countries, equitable distribution of those vaccines and the elimination of sanctions.

Takht Ravanchi indicated that Covid-19 is a common enemy of humanity that attacks people without distinction of race, religion and nationality.

The global efforts must focus on the mass production and equitable distribution of the vaccine, the diplomat said.

No one is safe until full immunity is achieved, he stressed, especially since mutations of the pathogen are very rapid.
