Cuba's Lianne Mesa won a place for cycling in the Asuncion 2025 Junior Pan American Games in the under-23 individual time trial of the Continental Road Championship held in Uruguay.

The seven riders registered in that category distributed the total number of places assigned to the event, with the Matanzas rider owning the fourth best time (40:54.90 minutes) in the two laps of a circuit of 13.2 kilometers.

In this way Cuba adds its fifth ticket for the continental youth festival next August, fourth in the women's sector, adding two in road and one in track, like the men's road race.

The men will have the possibility of increasing that number with Brayan Mandín in the solo time trial, of three laps to that same layout, along the coast in the city of Punta del Este.

The other Cuban from the Greater of the Antilles who competed was Brian Guardado. He ended up in tenth place with a time of 36:44.42 minutes in a couple of laps.

The long-distance races in the elite, under-23 and youth categories in both genders are scheduled from the 25th to the 27th.

The other Cubans who made the trip are Karen Martínez, Evelyn Díaz, Douglas Parrado, Ricardo Delgado, José Alberto Domínguez, and Amed Marcos.
