The FM noted that such punitive actions must be rejected by all member countries of the regional organization and thanked the solidarity of those who have spoken out against it.
Arreaza recalled how various entities of the United Nations (UN), such as the General Secretariat, the High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet and Special Rapporteurs have requested the lifting of those measures against Venezuela, Cuba and other countries suffering from the US blockade.
However, he said, the Donald Trump administration responds with more cruelty and underscored, to the extent, of reaching situations that we could describe as crimes against humanity.
The diplomat also called for higher-level coordination to jointly face post-pandemic economic challenges.
Cuba's Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and other speakers participating in the ACS ordinary meeting, held on Friday, supported Arreaza's point of view.
