Europe announces new platform for solidarity with Cuba

Solidarity organizations with Cuba in Europe announced that a new platform with a presence on social media to defend the island's sovereignty and reject the US-imposed blockade will be launched in October.

Members of the organizing committee told Prensa Latina about the launching of the Europa por Cuba channel. Its first broadcast would take place on October 18, at 14:00 local time, just two days before the Cuban Culture Day is celebrated. Solidarity associations in Europe and of Cuban residents will find through this channel the opportunity to express themselves and establish positions.

According to the promoters of the initiative, the channel will be a window to establish an European Solidarity Front with Cuba (FRESCuba), defend integrity, fight the blockade and disseminate history, culture, advances in science and technology and other significant aspects of the Caribbean country.

It will also allow to spread actions of solidarity and support to the island that have been subjected to decades of aggressions.
