Cuban western province with significant events during the week

The visit of Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President of the Republic, and the arrival of the opening flight of Rainbow Tours in 2023, coming from Poland, marked the news events in the province of Matanzas during the recent week.

During a tour of important enclaves of the western territory, the Cuban president recognized experiences to be increased in order to boost socioeconomic development and emphasized the need for good examples to become the rule rather than exceptions.

As part of his visit to the province to review programs of socioeconomic impact, the head of state went to the Meliá Internacional Hotel in Varadero, where the America Accesible event, the main platform that promotes digital inclusion in the region, has been held since the 8th.

On the other hand, a flight linking the Polish city of Katowice and the popular beach resort of Varadero marked the resumption of operations with Rainbow Tours, which plans to maintain regular trips once a week to the Juan Gualberto Gomez International Airport.

In the context marked by the beginning of the tourist boom in the Caribbean nation, the operation with 288 passengers, which arrived last Wednesday in Varadero Airport, had the travel agency Cubanacan as receptive, while Plus Ultra acted as airline.
