Cuban sports system supports the cause of Palestine

Officials and workers of INDER, representing the Cuban sports system, ratified their solidarity with the heroic and brotherly people of Palestine in a special morning meeting held on Monday in areas near the Sports City Coliseum.

The event was headed by the first vice president of INDER, Raul Fornes Valenciano, and the First Secretary of the Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba in the Hill, Yosvany Cañete, along with other officials of institutions subordinate to the central sports body in the Greater of the Antilles.

Lisandra Zamora Ruiz, secretary of the base committee of the UJC, on behalf of the young people, expressed that they have been trained in the values of respect for others, humanism and peace, so they demand the end of the illegal occupation of the Palestinian territory, which for more than seven decades has represented an unprecedented evil for the lives of children, women and men.

The maximum union leader of the organization, Lázara Pérez González, emphasized: "we condemn once again the genocide, the violence, the deprivation of the basic services of the population of Gaza and we demand the immediate cessation of this aggression and we support the cause of Palestine, which we will defend as with other brotherly peoples as our own cause".

Antonio William Suarez, secretary general of the PCC committee, on behalf of the militancy of the organization, workers and athletes, as well as all those who belong to the Cuban sports system, demanded the Israeli government the immediate ceasefire and the inhuman attacks on the Palestinian people.

"We Cubans are faithful to the legacy and principles of our Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, who was a standard bearer of internationalism and solidarity with all the peoples of the world," he said.
