Cuban Public Health reports 76 Covid-19 cases

Cuba's Public Health Ministry today reported 76 new cases of Covid-19, 42 medical discharges and no deaths from the disease in the last few hours on the Caribbean island.
 
According to the institution's report, 9,981 samples were taken and the number of tests carried out since March amounted to 1,61,511.

According to the statement, of the 76 new cases, 54 were contacts of confirmed cases, 17 with a source of infection abroad and five without a precise source of infection.

Of all of them, 73 are Cuban, three are foreign and 46 were asymptomatic at the time of the test.

Nowadays, 421 people in Cuba are sick with Covid-19, from them, 418 have a stable clinical evolution, while two patients are in intensive care and one in critical condition.

With the 42 medical discharges granted, the number of recovered patients amounted to 7,470. Since March, 8,026 citizens became ill in Cuba.

The Public Health Ministry states that 28 cases belong to the western province of Pinar del Rio, three to Artemisa, four to Havana, three to Cienfuegos and three to Ciego de Avila, while there are three in Holguin, Granma one and Santiago de Cuba 28.
