Cuban president signs book of condolences due attack in Russia

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Wednesday the book of condolences opened at the Russian Embassy in this capital, due to the bloody terrorist attack on the Crocus City Hall in Moscow.

“With deep pain we learned about the attack that occurred on March 22 in a cultural center in the region of Moscow, with a regrettable loss of human lives and numerous injuries,” the head of State wrote.

He reiterated his condemnation of this barbaric act, which has caused so much pain and suffering to the Russian people, convinced that the unity of the Russian Federation will not be shaken.

Díaz-Canel also expressed the most heartfelt condolences from the Cuban people and Government to the families and friends of the victims and the wish for the speedy recovery of the injured.

The president stressed that the Russian people and Government can always count on Cuba’s solidarity and support.

The Russian Embassy in Havana sincerely thanked Cuba for its friendship, solidarity and support.

Díaz-Canel was accompanied by the president of the National People’s Power Assembly (Parliament), Esteban Lazo, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, and Vice President Salvador Valdés.
