The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, will participate in the Global Leaders' Day of the International Labor Organization (ILO) Summit on COVID-19 and the World of Work, to be held online on July 8th, with the participation of Heads of State and Government and prominent employer and trade union leaders.

Under the theme “Building a better future of work,” the event will provide a high-profile platform for government, employer and worker representatives, and other high-level actors, to address the economic and social impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on each of their countries and regions.

One year after the 100th anniversary of ILO, Cuba, as a founding country, will present its experience in terms of labor protection during this stage of the fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic.
