The Cuban men’s quadruple sculls team secured a gold medal on the final day of rowing competition at the second edition of the Junior Pan American Games in Asunción 2025, held on the bay of the Paraguayan capital.

The Cuban champions—Henry Heredia, Adel Gutiérrez, Leduar Suárez, and Roberto Carlos Paz—finished with a time of 6:01.64 minutes, narrowly edging out Brazil (6:01.75) and Chile (6:02.93), who took silver and bronze, respectively.

The victory marks another strong showing for Cuba in regional rowing, reinforcing the nation's reputation in the sport at the youth level. The event, which brings together top junior athletes from across the Americas, concluded with a competitive field in the men’s quadruple sculls, where mere tenths of a second separated the podium finishers.

Asunción 2025 has served as a key platform for emerging talent, with Cuba’s triumph highlighting the team’s technical precision and endurance in a tightly contested race.
