The Cuban men’s coxless four placed fourth today in the rowing competition at the second edition of the Asunción 2025 Junior Pan American Games, held in the bay of the Paraguayan capital.

Henry Heredia, Leduar Suárez, Roberto Carlos Paz, and Adel Gutiérrez came close to a bronze medal, crossing the 2,000-meter aquatic course in 6:33.86 minutes. They finished behind Chile (6:19.29), Argentina (6:22.41), and Brazil (6:32.41), and ahead of Paraguay (6:43.07), according to the event’s official website.

Also competing for Cuba on Monday were Claudia Tolon and Natalie Morales in the women’s double sculls. They advanced to the repechage after placing third in their heat with a time of 8:03.73, behind Brazil (7:40.56), which qualified for the medal race, and Chile (7:59.86).

In the repechage, they will face boats from Paraguay, Argentina, Chile, and Guatemala in pursuit of a spot in Tuesday’s A final.
