Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez on Monday recalled Enrique Valdes Morgado and Juan Mulen Quiros, who were diplomatic couriers from the Foreign Ministry and were victims in a sabotage on the plane on which they were traveling.

On his Twitter account, the head of Cuban diplomacy referred to the attack, which occurred on March 15, 1963, and assured that, 'contrary to the will of the perpetrators, the commitment and legacy of our martyrs inspire our daily work'.

That day, Enrique Valdes Morgado and Juan Mulen Quiros departed from the Chacalluta airport, in Chile, bound for La Paz, Bolivia.

However, 28 minutes after takeoff, the plane fell on the north slope of Mount Chechecomati, near the border between Peru and Chile.

There were no survivors among three crew members and 36 passengers.

Evidence supports the Cuban Government's statement about a sabotage with explosives by terrorist agents at the service of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
