Cuba wins gold in the men’s long jump, Jamaica silver and Dominica bronze

Cuban Alejandro Parada won the gold medal on Tuesday night in the men’s long jump in athletics at the Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador and Santo Domingo, whose competitions will be take place at the Jorge ‘Mágico’ González National Stadium.
Parada, winner of the silver medal at the World Championship in the Under-20 category in 2022, registered 7.88 meters in the fifth attempt, which earned him the gold medal.
Silver went to Jamaican Jordan Turner with a time of 7.65 seconds in the first attempt and bronze went to Tristan James of Dominica, also with a time of 7.65 seconds in the second attempt.

Nicolas Arriola from Guatemala, Ifeanyichukwu Otuonye from Turks and Caicos, Andwuelle Wright from Trinidad and Tobago, Maykel Massó from Cuba and Emanuel Archibald from Guyana also participated in the test, which was interrupted for a few minutes by rain and then resumed.
