Cuba reports 858 new cases of Covid-19 and four deaths

Cuban health authorities on Sunday reported 858 new cases of Covid-19 and four deaths in the last 24 hours.

With these figures, the country reaches 55,693 diagnosed with the disease and 348 deaths since March 11, 2020, due to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

In his nationally televised briefing,  the national director of Epidemiology, Francisco Durán, pointed out that 23,347 people remain hospitalized, 4,121 are suspected, 14,716 are under surveillance and 4,510 are still active with the virus.

The island's 22 molecular biology laboratories performed  18,570 real-time PCRs for the detection of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
