Cuba Regrets Deaths Due to Landslide in Georgia

Bruno Rodríguez, Cuba's Foreign Minister, expressed his regret over the consequences of a landslide that occurred in Georgia, which left 11 dead and 36 missing until today.

In his Twitter profile,he conveyed condolences to the people and government of Georgia, as well as to the families and relatives of the deceased.

On August 3, the landslide, which swept away bridges and damaged roads, occurred at night in the village of Shovi, in the Georgian region of Racha.

According to the Georgian Ministry of Health, rescuers managed to evacuate 210 citizens in the affected area to a safe place within a day.

The Government of Georgia declared national mourning on August 7 due to the tragedy.
