Cuba announces new edition of Habano Cigar Festival

Cuban tobacco industry officials have called for worldwide participation in the 26th edition of Habano Cigar Festival, to be held next February in this capital.

This is the largest celebration of premium, or hand-rolled, cigars on the planet, given the characteristics of this type of product, considered by experts to be the best in the world due to its triple quality of soil, climate, and producer experience.

The event is scheduled to take place from February 23 to 27, 2026, in Havana. The focus of the meeting will be on Cohiba brand and its 60th anniversary, the most important brand on the island and the first to emerge after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959.

This brand is closely associated with Cuban leader Fidel Castro (1926-2016), as during his cigar-smoking years, he preferred Cohiba Lanceros cigars.

According to a statement issued this Wednesday by the international corporation Habanos S.A., cigar lovers will gather for five days to discover new offers, share experiences, and enjoy the unparalleled atmosphere surrounding the world of Habanos cigars.

Habanos S.A. distributes some 27 renowned brands worldwide, including Cohiba itself, Montecristo, Partagas, H. Upmann, and Vegas Robaina, among many others.

Every year, more than a thousand people from some 70 countries come to Havana interested in participating in this Festival, including industry professionals, artists, journalists, and premium cigar aficionados.
