With the confirmation of 20 new positive cases for SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, causing COVID-19, the number of infected in Cuba rises to 1.389, the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP by its Spanish acronym) reported today.

 

  • 794 out of those 1.389 patients present stable clinical evolution, there have been 56 deaths, two evacuees and 525 discharges; six are in critical condition and six are seriously ill, states the MINSAP daily report.

 

  • It also says that 3.546 patients are admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance, while other 5.556 persons are monitored at home, from the Primary Health Care System.

 

  • 1.823 cases were studied yesterday, resulting in 20 positive samples. The country accumulates 41.651 samples carried out resulting in 1.389 positive.

 

  • The 20 new confirmed cases were Cubans; 9 belong to the female gender (45%) and 21 to the male gender (55%). 65% (13) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.

 

  • As of yesterday, Havana with 14 and Matanzas with 3 confirmed cases were the provinces with higher number of Covid-19 patients testing positive.
