Cayo Largo airport ready for international tourism

'Vilo' Acuña Cayo Largo airport, located on Cuba's southern seas, is set and certified to welcome international tourists, Ricardo Cuadrado, Cayo Largo resort director, said.

During an exchange here with journalists, Cuadrado stressed the airport is ready for commercial operations, with respect to all hygienic-sanitary protocols and required biosecurity program. 'Personnel was qualified to, in this new post-Covid-19 stage, attend to the arrival of foreign vacationers,' Cuadrado said.

Cayo Largo is located at the eastern of the Canarreos archipelago, in the southern waters of the western province of Matanzas. It administratively belongs to the Isle of Youth, about 180 kms away from Havana.
