Barely a few days left for Joe Biden to say farewell to the presidential chair at the White House and the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), recently created by Trump, reveals pathetic numbers that speak of the management of this outgoing administration.

The US budget spending exceeded one trillion dollars last year, and a significant part of this spending was some astonishing - to use a mild adjective - expenses financed by the Biden administration, who, to "put top it all", spent 40% of his term on vacations.

In the few days that he was not enjoying rest, the president seems to have, among other things, dedicated himself to spending the budget on the most illogical projects. These include $7 million in various magic studies, a grant to hold an ice-skating drag show by Bearded Ladies Cabaret - a self-described "queer cabaret arts organization" - as well as around $1.5 million to experiment with how different species, especially female cats, respond to motion sickness.

Also included among Biden's almost unbelievable expenses, according to DOGE, are $400,000 to study whether solitary rats seek cocaine more than those living in favorable environments; and $20 million on filming in Iraq an adaptation of the children's series 'Sesame Street', called 'Ahlan Simsim', to promote "inclusion" and "mutual respect." With this last mission he blamed the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

In addition to the previous list of expenses, there are investments by the State Department to promote "influencers" in different countries. Outstands the 4.8 million dollars spent especially to promote opinion leaders in Ukraine and the 123,000 dollars to "make young people in Kyrgyzstan go viral."

This long list, which could perhaps question the mental stability of the Democratic president, he added another important figure on the penultimate day of last year that, although it does not indicate any mental imbalance, does show other unhealthy behavior: the announcement of a new aid package worth almost 2.5 billion dollars for the security of Ukraine in its conflict with Russia, as reported by the White House.

To this disbursement he added another 1.22 billion registered in the context of the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, which provides for the Pentagon to award contracts to North American defense companies for the manufacture of new equipment destined for Kyiv; meanwhile, US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen announced the disbursement of another $3.4 billion in direct budget support to Ukraine.

Biden will undoubtedly also be remembered, among many other fiascos, for his handling of budgetary expenditures in the United States.
