2024 Jazz Plaza Festival: Mayito Rivera, happy to honor Miguelito Cuní

The upcoming 2024 Jazz Plaza Festival will be the stage, as announced by the organizers and confirmed by the popular Cuban singer Mayito Rivera himself in exclusive statements to CubaSí:

"I am going to pay tribute to Miguelito Cuní. Germán Velazco has the musical direction, with other great artists involved with the orchestra," he said.

He also announced that it will be a tribute to the great songs of Miguelito Cuní and stated: "It is an honor for me. It is a work that I did several years ago and I feel very happy to perform it again at this Festival."

Regarding the songs selected, he commented: “I will be singing a Miguelito Cuní’s not-so-popular repertoire. It is something new and fantastic.”

What have you been doing recently? He also answered that question to offer updates to his fans:

“I have been on tour by Germany. I have my own musical band, which is named Mayito Rivera, los hijos de Cuba. I just finished a great tour by Europe and this way, I am on the international circuit all the time.”
