Boccaccerias Habaneras Wins Havana Film Festival New York

Sotto’s film won in the Best Edition and Best Script categories in the 16^th edition of the festival, where the Argentinean film Refugiado, directed by Diego Lerman, won the Havana Star Prize to the Best Feature.

Performing prizes went to Cuban Isabel Santos (Best Actress) for Vestido de Novia and Uruguayans Nestor Guzzini and Hector Noguera (Best Actors) for Mr. Kaplan.

On another side, the Best Documentary Prize went to Cuban Another Island, a coproduction with Switzerland.

The Jury also granted Mentions to Feature Fiction Film Venecia, by Kiki Alvarez, and Documentary El silencio de las Moscas, by Eliezer Arias, as well as to Un asunto de tierras, by Patricia Ayala.
