President Raul meets with President of the Republic of Congo

Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, received last Tuesday afternoon,  December 2, H.E. Denis Sassou Nguesso, President of the Republic of Congo, who carries out an official visit to Cuba.

During the meeting, both authorities dialogued about the development of the fraternal bilateral ties this year of the 50th anniversary, and ratify the compromise to continue increasing and strengthening these relations. Likewise, the parts exchanged over diverse issues from the international agenda, in paricular, the challenge posed by the Ebola outbreak to the African nations.

The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Basile Ikouébé, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, and Pascal Onguemby, Ambassador of Congo to Cuba.

The Cuban part was also represented  by Salvador Valdés Mesa, Vice President of the Council of State; Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Manuel M. Serrano Acosta, designated Ambassador to that African nation.
