Army General Raul Castro, First Secretary of the Communist Party, and Miguel Diaz-Canel, President of the Republic of Cuba, attended this Friday night the celebration for the 30th anniversary of the school Solidarity with Panama.
Raúl gave the school's director an album with photographs of the visits made to the school by the leaders of the Revolution, and Díaz-Canel awarded the center with the Lazaro Peña Order, third grade, for being an outstanding center whose workers have high human value.
The school's director, María Esther La O, recalled that Fidel had a dream of building other institutions similar to the Solidarity with Panama, which today is a reality with those opened in Santiago de Cuba and another obe being completed soon in Villa Clara.
The school Solidarity with Panama was founded by Fidel 30 years ago and educates children with physical-motor disabilities.
