Aoun meets Cuban Deputy FM, Riachy

NNA - President Michel Aoun welcomed, at Baabda palace Wednesday, Cuban First Deputy Foreign Minister, Marcelino Gonzalez, who conveyed to his host his country's support for Lebanon before the regional and international instances.

The visiting official presented Aoun with a message from his counterpart President Raul Castro, hereby stressing on the bilateral ties between Lebanon and Cuba and the necessity to bolster them on all levels.

For his part, Aoun confirmed to his guest the depth of the bilateral ties, in addition to the role of Cubans of Lebanese origins.

Separately, Aoun met with Minister of Information, Melhem Riachy, with whom he discussed the current general situation and the course of work of the Ministry.

During the meeting, Riachy informed Aoun of the three candidates whose applications to Tele Liban chairman post have been endorsed by the ad-hoc committee.

Moreover, Aoun met with MP Boutros Harb over the current situation and latest developments.
