Who is harmed by these measures?
especiales

Cuba is the homeland of all. Of those who are still here and those who, without defaming Cuba, live on the northern side of Rio Bravo. 90 miles north, nearly two million Cubans live and they want to keep contact with their families. Most of them still have their parents, siblings, nephews, their roots here.
Who benefits from the bad relationship between Cuba and the United States? What is the positive side of the US blockade? Are the Cubans living in Miami happy when any family member endures medicine shortage? Are the Cubans living in Miami happy because Cuban malls lacks basic items? Can a Cuban individual in Florida be happy if they know his or her remittance are limited? Are they happy if they see any sign of war in their former neighborhood, or bombs being dropped over their former schools?
All Cubans want peace, those living here and those living abroad. But those living abroad know that people here will not bend their knees, even though this is actually the goal of that evil plan, by means of shortage and stress. It is as clear as water that comrades living abroad, who are now living in a very different environment, know that blackmailing has never worked, no matter what the goal is. Cubans will never subdue.
So, it is crystal clear that the US blockade is only profitable for those who take advantage of two major things prevailing in the anti-Cuban policy: money they do not give out and the votes that keep them in power.
Let’s do what is necessary, those in here and abroad. Let’s no allow a foreign power to decide Cuba’s future. Those behaving this way will never appreciate us and will be indifferent to the long lines suffered by Cubans living in here, nor if those living abroad want to help us without enduring attacks filled with hatred.
