Palestinians pay tribute to Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez

Damascus, Mar 4 (Prensa Latina) The Union of Visual Artists of Palestine in Syria paid tribute to Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez on Wednesday, to commemorate the seventh anniversary of his death.

Venezuelan Ambassador Jose Gregorio Biomorgis and Abdulmouty Abuzied, leader of the Palestinian group, highlighted 'Chavez's solidarity sowing' with the Arab people and those who fight to defend sovereignty.

At the same time, a collective exhibition by Palestinian artists was inaugurated to vindicate the memory of Commander Chavez and establish a communicating vessel to strengthen the two peoples' ties of brotherhood.

The exhibition, organized by Palestinian expert Motazo Mari, with support from the Union of Visual Artists, shows details of the life and creation of that nation in several facets of the struggle for Arab identity.

Present at the inauguration were the diplomatic corps accredited in Syria, intellectuals and members of social and political organizations.
