Italian Viviani Wins Third Stage of British Tour

Italian cyclist Elia Viviani, from the team Sky, today won the third stage of the Tour of Britain, 216 kilometers run between the town of Cockermouth and Floors Castle Kelso.

Viviani computed 5:08:18 hours and won the sprint to Spanish Juan Jose Lobato, competing for team Movistar, the new leader, and Italy's Matteo Trentin, a member of Ettix-Quick Step.

In general, the Spanish athlete is now leading with an advantage of 10 seconds over Norway's Edvald Boasson Hagen (MTN-QHUBEKA) and 12 seconds on Dutch Floris Gertz.
