IN PICTURES: Obispo Street has its own personality
especiales

Obispo Street is a symbolic place in the city. This condition is not linked to the fact that it begins, or ends at the famous restaurant El Floridita. Daiquiri “was born” here and several historic places can be found throughout Obispo Street; namely, La Moderna Poesia bookstore or Hotel Ambos Mundos, place where well-known American writer Ernest Hemingway lived in the 1930s.
What’s more, Obispo Street has its own personality. No need for more and certainly no need for less. It is an amazing street as popular as lively.
One mile away from the Havana’s Capitol and other wonderful places, Obispo is always awesome for Havana’s citizens and visitors in general.
A small and delicate pedestrian walkway, boulevard that links the sea with the heart of Havana, it offers different services on both sides of the street.
I stopped walking by few years ago and now, I found Obispo full of joy, being “discovered” by hundreds of people from all around the world and Cubans that still feel for it.
Where Obispo begins, or ends. Everything is relative.
