Cuba’s athletes shine in Cuban men´s wrestling tournament
especiales

Cuban wrestlers shone in the freestyle wrestling of the International tournaments Cerro Pelado by winning three of the total of four gold medals.
Franklin Maren (65kg), Livan Lopez (74kg), and Reinieris Salas (97kg) displayed their potential in their respective divisions, and American Tyler Grafft (57kg) won the other.
Maren starred an emotional fight versus American B.J. Futrell, who forced him to fight hard despite fighting half-visioned due to an injury in one of his eyes.
Lopez, bronze medalists in London 2012, won easily over Puerto Rican Pedro Soto.
At last, many-time world championship medalist Salas paved his way to beat American J.T. Felix 7-5.
American Grafft won by default since Chinese Minghu Liu decided not to fight due to an injury.
The tournament will come to an end tomorrow.
