Silvio does not believe Obama could improve relationships with Cuba

Silvio´s statements came to light after he was awarded by the chairman of Barnansant Festival with the Barnansant Prize —celebrating his entire music career—in the headquarters of Ojala Recording Studios, in Havana.

The Cuban musician also mentioned his duet with Calle 13 in the song “Ojos color Sol” (Sun-colored Eyes), a song belonging to the album Multi Viral:

“Calle 13 is at the forefront of music. It is a privilege that successful young artists like Calle 13 ask an old man like me to work together. I am very grateful.”
