President Díaz-Canel receives the governor of St. Petersburg

The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, received this Friday Aleksandr D. Belglov, governor of the Russian city of St. Petersburg, who is visiting the country.

During the meeting, the president highlighted the strength of the relations and thanked the sensitivity and understanding of the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, regarding the problems of the Cuban people, the Presidency reported on the social network X.

"You have come at a complex time for Cuba and that shows the affection that always comes to us from you," said Díaz-Canel.

Belglov thanked the Cuban head of state for his welcome, assuring him that "there is a lot of human warmth in our city for the people of Cuba."

This meant the continuity that he has been able to appreciate in the ideas of the historic leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz (1926-2016) in the new generations.
