The administration of President Joe Biden confirmed that the United States will deliver long-range reactive artillery systems to Ukraine in the midst of a conflict with Russia, encouraged by Washington.

The announcement came shortly after the Ukrainian authorities requested this type of armaments from the White House, CNN reported, citing US officials.

According to local media, the weapons would be a significant improvement over Ukraine’s current artillery.

The M31 GMLRS (Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System) is the system most commonly used by the United States.

Immediately after the news became known, Russian authorities and personalities denounced this new attempt by Washington to interfere in a conflict that does not concern it.

“The (US-made) MLRS can launch missiles over 500 kilometers away (depending on ammunition used). If they send this (to Ukraine), they will clearly cross a red line, and we will record an attempt to provoke a very harsh response from Russia,” Russian TV presenter Olga Skabeeva warned.
