The Forecast Center of the Institute of Meteorology of Cuba reported that the tropical storm Elsa maintains sustained winds of 62 mph and continues to move west by northwest.
According to Notice 13 issued at 06:00 am (local time), the storm had changed little in its organization and intensity, moving at a speed of 13 mph.
The position of the center of Elsa was estimated at 18.2ú N and 75.7ú W, placing it about 275 km (148 nm) SW of Cape Cruz, Granma, with a pressure of 1006 hPa.
In addition, it will continue to gradually decrease its moving speed, with fluctuations in its intensity, according to the report.
The clouds, with rains of varying degrees of intensity, associated with the circulation of Elsa, were concentrated around the phenomenon's center during the last hours, with the strongest areas located over the seas to the south of Cuba's eastern region.
However, in the next few hours the rains will begin to increase again towards the outer reaches of this system, affecting the provinces from Granma to Guantanamo.
