Damascus, Sep 2 (Prensa Latina) Syrian media highlight this Wednesday Cuba's progress in developing a vaccine to fight Covid-19.
The success of the first stage of clinical trials on the candidate vaccine known as Soberana 01 (Sovereign 01) demonstrates the high level of medicine and science in Cuba despite the blockade imposed for 61 years, Syria's Television and Radio broadcasting reported.
In turn, SANA national agency published in several languages the statements by the Commercial Director of Cuba's BioCubaFama Business Group, in which he assured that the second stage of the trials will begin on September 11, while the final results will be announced by late January 2021. The vaccine will be available to citizens in February 2021.
Other digital media alluded to the Cuban medicine and vaccine shipments to Syria in the last few years and its positive results, while referring to the interest in future cooperation on Covid-19.
