Russia's recoveries from Covid-19 surpass infections

Moscow, Jan 30 (Prensa Latina) A total of 24,502 recoveries from Covid-19 on Friday in Russia, fifth consecutive day in which recoveries surpass the new infections, the operative general staff against the pandemic reported on Saturday.
In total, since the onset of the pandemic, there have been 3,279,964 recoveries from the disease, representing 85.6 percent, TASS news agency indicated.
It was also reported 479,419 active cases under treatment in Russia.
At the end of Friday, 19,032 infections were registered, amounting to 3,832,000 Covid-19 cases to date.
On Friday, there were 512 deaths from Covid-19 in Russia, bringing to 72,697 the death toll.
The figure shows that the fatality rate caused by the pandemic in the country is 1.9 percent.
