Local play will open Latin American Monologue Festival

The VI Latin American Monologue Festival (FML) and the Terry Award, the main event of its kind in the continent, born in and organized for more than two decades in the province of Cienfuegos, will open its doors on February 27 with the play Lagarto Pisabonito. 

Rafael Cisneros Cruz, the actor who plays the character, said he was honored to present his one-man show with this piece, created by the local troupe Centro Dramático de Cienfuegos, about an eloquent, talkative and talkative man engaged in a permanent struggle with his personal vices, alienation, and human needs.

Launched with great effort on account of the country’s present economic problems, the Festival boasts nine Cuban groups and performers from Mexico, Uruguay and Costa Rica, as well as the participation of personalities such as the renowned Uruguayan actor Marcel Sawchik Monegal and the Costa Rican actress Katina Picado Vargas.
