Moscow, Nov 21 (Prensa Latina) A possible second partial military mobilization in Russia is ruled out at present, Presidency Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.

Although this issue concerns the Ministry of Defense, I can state that the country’s leadership is not discussing those matters, Peskov pointed out when asked about it by reporters on Monday.

On October 28, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu informed President Vladimir Putin about the completion of the partial mobilization in Russia, which started on September 21.

According to Shoigu, more than 300,000 people were recruited, and no additional deployment is planned.

A partial mobilization was decreed in the context of the military operation in southeastern Ukraine that Russia launched on February 24 to maintain security and defend the Donbas territories and Kherson and Zaporizhzhia provinces, which are under Russia’s control.
