A survey by the digital media Montevideo Portal shows the Frente Amplio (FA) as the winner in the first round of the elections next October in Uruguay.
Although the source considers that the sample is not representative, it states that the FA should prevail in the initial stage with 50.55% of the votes, exceeding the 39.01 % obtained by the Front in October 2019.
According to results obtained in the most recent poll, the Frente Amplio should exceed half of the votes and prevail in the first round with a parliamentary majority, without competing in a ballot with the second most voted party.
In the second step is the National Party, with 21.04%, ahead of the Colorado Party, which fell from 13.98% in May and now has 11.32%. They are followed by the Independent Party (2.51%) and Cabildo Abierto (2.37%).
The government coalition summed 37.54%, below the 41.51 of the previous survey.
The inquiry of Montevideo Portal is the one that until now shows the greatest difference between the option for the left and the official alliance parties.
