The OWG Canadian airline will fly to Cuba starting upcoming November, the Corporacion de la Aviacion Cubana S.A. confirmed on Wednesday.
As reported by the entity on Twitter, the air operations will link the cities of Montreal and Toronto with Jardines del Rey, Cayo Santamaria and Holguin.
Those tourist Cuban places are open from July 1 to foreign visitors under well-defined health protocols to avoid the spread of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
In the last two weeks, hundreds of Canadians arrived in the northern keys of Cuba through Air Canada, a company that will maintain their trips to the Jardines del Rey's airport, in Cayo Coco, once a week from Montreal, and at the end of September they will do it from Toronto, too.
Some of the hotels with confirmed reservations are Memories Caribe Beach Resort, and Memories Flamenco Beach Resort Playa Paraiso-Cayo Coco Beach Resort.
As part of the measures to fight against the pandemic, those facilities in Cuba were certified with the Most Hygienic and Safe Tourism condition, and are ready to receive foreign travelers, the authorities stated on time.
Until 2019, Canada remained the first issuing market for vacationers to Cuba, where over a million travelers from that country were served during that year.
