Buenos Aires, Feb 19 (Prensa Latina) Argentina's justice system began on Friday to examine the two mobiles that belonged to the great former football player Diego Armando Maradona in an ongoing investigation to find out if there was negligence that led to his death.

Those mobiles were found in the room where Maradona alias El Pelusa died on November 25, 2020, in a house in the Buenos Aires district of Tigre where the player was recovering after an operation for a subdural hematoma he had undergone.

The judge of Guarantees 2 of the locality of San Isidro, Orlando Diaz, authorized the technical examination after a request made by the team coordinated by the general prosecutor of that judicial department, John Broyad, and composed of his associate attorneys, Cosme Iribarren and Patricio Ferrari, and by the prosecutor of Benavidez, Laura Capra, according to the Minuto Uno website.

Attorney Vadim Mischanchuk attended the technical examination, representing psychiatrist Agustina Cosachov, one of the several people charged in the case of Maradona's death.

According to the lawyer, the chat messages incorporated so far in the case through the analysis of other phones indicate that 'the nurses who were with the patient every day in the house in Tigre reported daily, and more than once a day, to three doctors,' the source said.

Prosecutors will have access to the two smartphones used by the known Pibe de Oro to view messages and call logs in order to reconstruct his last days of life.

Maradona's autopsy determined that he died from an acute secondary pulmonary edema to a chronic heart failure, and they discovered a dilated cardiomyopathy in his heart.
