Las Tunas Evens Quarterfinal Series with Decisive Victory
With a final score of nine runs to one, Las Tunas defeated Villa Clara today, leveling the playoff series of the 64th National Baseball Series at the Augusto César Sandino Stadium in the "Orange City."

Offensive Power Leads Victory
Yudier Rondón Pavón was the standout hitter for the eastern team, compiling a home run, a double, and three runs batted in. Maikel Yordan Molina García also homered, sending the ball over the outfield fences.

Pitching and Defensive Highlights
Yosmel Garcés Herrera, the regular-season leader in wins with 11, earned the victory, while José Carlos Quesada Darias took the loss.

In statements to the ACN, winning pitcher Garcés Herrera said that despite his poor outing in Las Tunas, today he adjusted his pitching command before the game and refined his control. He added that he based his work on inside sinkers, fastballs, changeups, and sliders.

Player Reactions and Team Morale
Rondón Pavón, who hit a home run for the Lumberjacks, stated that home runs are not his specialty, although he has hit several this year, and that he mentally prepares himself to perform any task asked of him.

The eastern team's shortstop, Norge De Jesús Torres Batista, affirmed that more is expected from him defensively and that he always tries to deliver, which is why he makes good plays. He emphasized that with the victories from yesterday and today, the team is in a much better position for the upcoming games.

Coaching Perspective and Next Game's Starter
Ramón Moré Flaqué, manager of the Sugar Growers (Villa Clara), explained that his team always takes the field to win, and not achieving success is part of the game. He acknowledged they are undoubtedly playing against a good team that knows how to do things well.

"I always take the field happy, just like the team; we simply aren't getting the good result, but tomorrow is another day and we will play better," declared Cristian Jesús Moré Gallardo, the third batter and center fielder for the orange squad.

Moré Flaqué confirmed left-hander Dario Sarduy Medina from Manicaragua, currently in the SoftBank Hawks' minor league system, as the starting pitcher for tomorrow's game.

The playoff series is now tied at two victories apiece, with three games left to play.
