With the presence of Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, leader of the Cuban Revolution, and Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, takes place in Havana at the Central Act in celebration of International Workers' Day.

The José Martí Anti-imperialist Tribune hosts the celebration, a scene where nearly 200 thousand residents from five municipalities of Havana attend.   In the rest of the provinces, rallies are held in unison in the main squares to welcome the crowd of Cubans who will celebrate the 65th anniversary of the first workers' parade held after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959.

Cubans are once again demanding the cessation of the US economic blockade and the exclusion of the island from the illegal list of countries supposedly sponsoring terrorism, as well as patenting their majority support for the socialist project.
